Wildflower Update

Spring it quickly turning into summer and as a result, it seems that my wildflower garden is changing every day.  Here are a few pictures of these changes:

A new little flower just appeared and it is very tiny and delicate.  It is called a Herb Robert.  It is a part of the Geranium Family.  It is pink with darker pink lines and has has intricate leaves.  It likes to grow in rocky woods or ravines, and blooms from May- October.  It was named for Robert Goodfellow, better known as Robinhood.

Above and below show the False Solomon Seal with it's beautiful blooms.  They look like snowflakes.

My favorite- the May Apple.  The flower blooms below the umbrella-like leaves, so you have to look for it.

The bloom is pretty big, about 2-2 1/2 inches across.

And here you can see that the bloom has turned into the "apple",  getting bigger every day!

The Smooth or Real Solomon Seal with its pretty little flowers, all lined up.

The ferns have gone crazy and are huge and lush.

I have two different types, both beautiful!

And look who came to check out the gardenHe knows a great vacation spot when he sees it!

Have a wonderful day and enjoy this great (HOT) weather!
